August 29 - The Good-looking lot!

Such posers....

August 29 - More lake pics

You can see the rain coming down beyond the Island...

The view from up in the town...
Clear blue skies on this side of the town...

2 cameras, 2 angles...

Going back down...

Peace and Tranquilty...

Making our way back to the car.

August 29 - The beauty of Lake Trasimeno

Tim, Angelo's brother, told us to go to Passignano (one of Trasimeno's lakeside towns) and said that it was really nice there. I've been to this lake many times and though it's serene and holds its own beauty, I've never been awed by it.

This was the first time for us to be in Passignano and I'm so glad we went on that afternoon.

Everything was perfect, the sky, the reflections, the water! It took my breath away! There were dark storm clouds, but bright patches of blue sky, and towards the end, the sun forcing its last colours out before it vanished--a huge mesh of glorious beauty! This is what I love about nature, the extremes blending in with the non extremes and me being blessed to be a small someone taking in all the beauty. God is truly and greatest painter and artist!

Pictures taken by Angelo's hefty Nikon and Chloe's small Cannon...can you guess which camera took which picture?

Trying to take a group shot....the many attempts...

Finally! Somewhat decent...
Happy Feet!

P.S. Mom, I'm wearing the shirt that you gave me when I was in Japan last year. I really like it, Thank you!

August 28 - My Babies

Lupin all snug....

I love the look on Charlie's face, like he is angry that Ethan is holding him....and Ethan's face is priceless...

August 26 - Home made Gnocchi in Rugu

Preparing the 'sugo' while the potatoes are in the oven...(teaching Chloe how to make Ragu alla Toscana). Documented for her cooking homework.

                                                                                              A dash of wine...
Adding nutmeg and bay leaves...                           Now it just needs to simmer for an hour or so...

Preparing the potatoes...
This was a first time (for both of us) making gnocchi so we got the recipe and instructions off the internet. We didn't have a potato ricer so had to mash by hand.

                                         Adding the flour, salt, nutmeg...
                                         Adding the eggs...
We made enough for 2 meals...

           Nearly done...
Finished product!
It was sooooo much work but it was soooo worth it!
It was absolutely deliziosa, squisita e molto molto buono!
